Velo del Sol™, meaning “Veil of the Sun,” is a handcrafted botanical mineral facial shield from Body Essential Apothecary, created to provide a protective layer on the skin while keeping it soft, conditioned, and beautifully moisturized.

At the heart of Velo del Sol™ is non-nano zinc oxide, a mineral ingredient that remains primarily on the surface of the skin. The formula is complemented by nourishing botanical emollients, including squalane, jojoba oil, and meadowfoam seed oil, chosen for their lightweight feel and ability to soften and condition the skin without an excessively greasy finish.

Squalane provides silky moisture and helps support the skin's natural moisture barrier. Jojoba oil conditions and softens, while meadowfoam seed oil provides lasting emollience and gives the formula a smooth, luxurious feel.

How to Use

Apply an even layer to clean, dry skin before sun exposure. Gently massage over the face, neck, and other exposed areas until evenly distributed. Reapply as needed, particularly after swimming, sweating, or towel drying.

Because Velo del Sol™ has not been tested to establish an SPF value or FDA broad-spectrum claim, it should not be presented as a substitute for an FDA-tested sunscreen when reliable sunburn protection is needed.
